Due to the holding of the Decree (SK) Politeknik eLBajo Commodus from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristek Dikti), represented by Kopertis Region VIII Coordinator, Prof. Dr. I Nengah Tie Astawa. In addition to the board of Bangkit Anak Negeriku Foundation, also attended the event which took place at this Luwansa Hotel, West Manggarai Regent, Drs. Agustinus Ch. Dula, as well as several other local government officials, representatives of the hotel industry, representatives of high schools and vocational schools in the City of Labuan Bajo, as well as a number of media journalists.
In his remarks, the Regent of West Manggarai greatly appreciated the struggle and hard work of the Politeknik eLBajo Commodus from its inception until the issuance of an establishment permit or decree from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. The Regent considered that the existence of the Polytechnic could support the tourism industry in West Manggarai after the establishment of Labuan Bajo as a priority tourism destination. The campus is expected to be able to prepare qualified and competitive tourism human resources. In addition, the presence of the Polytechnic campus is also expected to improve the economic sector in West Manggarai. "Just imagine if there are hundreds of children who register at eLBajo, then there is so much money circulating in West Manggarai." he explained.
Prof. Astawa also said that this decree should be used properly to become the leading polytechnic in NTT because currently the Polytechnic campus is becoming an idol. "In Bali it is difficult to establish a tertiary institution, but if the Polytechnic is opened as wide as possible. Establishing a Polytechnic is far more difficult. Polytechnics are not easy to set up, but are widely opened. " he explained. Noviana Halim, Chair of the Foundation, revealed that the Polytechnic always has a strong commitment to produce children who are able to compete with other tertiary institutions. "Our commitment to create qualified human resources and be able to compete in the tourism sector." he stressed.
In addition to the submission of the Decree, in this event a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed with several related parties, including the West Manggarai Regional Government represented by the Regent Drs. Agustinus Ch. Dula, Luwansa Hotel, Puri Sari Hotel, PT. Lembawai Indah Makmur, PT. Indonesia Ferry Property, PT. Forisa Nusapersada, as well as several SMA-SMK in Labuan Bajo and Ruteng. It is hoped that with the signing of this agreement, cooperation can be formed that will benefit Manggarai children. Finally the awarding ceremony was closed with a dinner and suave.
