On the visit of the Director General of Science and Technology Institution and Higher Education to eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic
Precisely on Saturday, March 24, 2018, the team also took a visit to the Komodo National Park (TNK) which was worldwide. By taking a pinisi boat, this one-day trip will visit 3 (three) places in KNP, namely Padar Island, Komodo Island, and Pink Beach (Pink Beach). At 4.30 in the morning, the team was getting ready at the port where the pinisi ships leaned in and at 5 the ship moved slowly to leave the port to go to Padar Island.
Accompanied by the calm waves and the rising sun rising from the eastern horizon, the team from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education as well as several foundation officials talked while enjoying the beauty of the National Park. After approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, the ship began to visit the Padar Island area and one by one the team boarded a lifeboat that would take them to the shore of Padar Island. The Biggest Premier Island in the KNP area is now a favorite of tourists, both domestic and foreign. Enough with light trekking about 30 minutes to the peak, tourists can enjoy climbing the green hills of Savana Padar Island.
After being satisfied enjoying Padar Island in the midst of the blazing sun, the team moved down and continued on their way to Komodo Island, home to Varanus komodoensis. Travel time to Komodo Island is about 1 hour. Komodo Island has a port that can be a place for large berths. Arriving at Loh Liang, the gate reads Welcome to Komodo National Park as if to welcome the team that will open the National Park. In this place, visitors can see how dragons and humans live side by side. Unlike in Loh Buaya, Rinca Island, where there are no sellers, near the entrance area of Loh Liang is a stall that sells food, drinks, and special souvenirs such as T-shirts with Komodo dragons and Komodo statues.
After paying the entrance ticket, two rangers are ready to guide and explain things that can be done and issued during the trip. Given the physical conditions and time, the team prefers to follow the short trekking path. On the way, occasionally seen wild boar, deer, and after walking a few minutes, two adult Komodo dragons are under a tree near a pool of air. Satisfied with a picture taken with dragons, the team returned to the ship, returned with lunch and then headed to the Pink Beach. Shortly after enjoying the pink sand caused by the coral fragments, the team then returned to Labuan Bajo and returned with a few interesting stories from the Komodo National Park.
